Breaking News Doesn't Stop, But BP, Sugar, and Anxiety Increase – Why?

Breaking News doesn't stop, but BP, sugar, and anxiety keep increasing. Why?

Let's understand:

1. The brain is not made for 24x7 news. The human brain is designed to detect danger, not to constantly process information.

2. Every breaking news = an "alert" for the brain. The brain doesn't decide if the news is important or not. It simply turns on stress mode.

3. What happens in the body when stress mode is ON? Adrenaline and cortisol increase → BP rises, sugar becomes unstable, the heart beats faster.

4. Why does sleep get disturbed? The brain remains constantly awake. The feeling that "something is happening" prevents sleep.

5. How does anxiety slowly increase? Over-information + uncertainty → feeling of lack of control → anxiety increases.

6. The body doesn't know it's just news. For the body, danger is danger, whether real or on screen.

7. Being informed and being stuck are different. It's essential to stay aware, but it's not necessary to remain constantly stressed.

8. Our democracy stands on strong foundations. Therefore, there's no need to be constantly stressed. Calm, understanding citizenship leads society forward.

9. Simple, practical advice from the OPD: Set a specific time for news. Avoid constant alerts and discussions late at night.

10. This is not escapism. This is taking care of your own brain. Self-control means self-care.

A crucial reminder for citizens where voting is taking place today: Voting is a fundamental right of democracy. Today, it is important to exercise it consciously, calmly, and responsibly.

What does your experience say? Does stress increase when you constantly watch news? Write in the comments.

Polls, discussions, and live interactions on such questions are regularly held in Just For Hearts' YouTube community.
