You Are Not Lazy…

You Are Not Lazy… Your body is constantly stuck in 'Fight Mode'.

My experience tells me people are not lazy. Their nervous system is exhausted.

In OPD, I hear daily: • "Sir, I don't feel like doing anything." • "I crave sweets at night." • "I don't realize when my BP increases." • "I can't sleep."

This is not a problem of motivation. This is a problem of regulation.

1. What exactly is Fight Mode? The body has two main states:

• Sympathetic (Fight Mode) • Parasympathetic (Repair Mode)

In Fight Mode: • Heart rate increases • BP increases • Cortisol increases • Liver releases glucose

This response is for “danger”. Not for the entire day.

2. Why is modern man constantly in Fight Mode? Because of: • Screens from morning • Constant notifications • Mental stress • Less than 6 hours of sleep • Irregular meals

The brain doesn't receive a signal that it's “safe”.

3. What if Fight Mode continues for a long time? • Insulin resistance can increase • Abdominal fat increases • BP control gets disrupted • Sleep quality decreases

4. This is not laziness. This is Dysregulation.

If you experience: • Constant fatigue • Eating more at night • Irritability over small things • Not feeling fresh in the morning

If this happens, you are not weak. Your nervous system is overloaded.

5. The beginning shouldn't be big. It should be Physiological.

Starting today, just:

✔ Walk calmly for 10 minutes after meals ✔ Turn off screens 30 minutes before sleeping ✔ Get 5-10 minutes of sunlight in the morning

This is not self-help. This is an autonomic reset.

In 25+ years, I have seen that when the body starts going into Repair Mode,

Sugar stabilizes. BP shows less fluctuation. Sleep improves.

Your body is not against you. It's just trying to survive.

Which mode are you in for most of the day? ⚡ Stress 😌 Calm 🤯 Don't know
