Can you travel by air after angioplasty?
Yes, you can, but with some conditions.
When to travel? - After angioplasty: wait 2–4 weeks - After bypass surgery: wait 4–6 weeks (Consult your doctor before traveling)
Preparation before travel: - ECG and Echo reports should be normal - Take your medicines on time and keep them in your hand luggage - Avoid travel if you feel fatigue or chest pain
Precautions during travel: - Drink water and keep moving - Stretch your legs and walk a little - For long flights, choose an aisle seat - Inform the crew immediately if you experience any discomfort
