Angiography Normal, Still Chest Pain? Understand Microvascular Angina

Angiography normal… but still experiencing chest pain?

In this picture, you can see the large Blood Vessels. These are the ones examined in an Angiography.

But look at the fine network around them. These are Micro Vessels. If the Blood Flow isn't proper here, it can cause discomfort.

This condition is called Microvascular Angina. That's why, even if your Angiography is normal, you might still experience chest pain.

Angiography shows the larger vessels. But the heart also has a fine network of tiny vessels. Reduced flow in these small vessels can cause chest pain; this is called Microvascular Angina.
