Why Can a Heart Attack Occur Even If Your Cholesterol Is Normal?
Why can a heart attack occur even if your cholesterol levels are normal?
1. A 'normal' report does not mean safety. Even if your cholesterol report looks good, if Small Dense LDL particles are elevated, the risk remains. These particles are stickier and can block arteries.
2. Inflammation - The silent killer inside your body! Tests like CRP (C‑Reactive Protein) and Homocysteine indicate levels of inflammation. Even if reports look fine, your body might still be 'on fire'.
3. Plaque rupture is the real danger. Even with 40% blockage, if the plaque ruptures, a clot forms causing a sudden heart attack. Hence, "Stability matters more than the number!"
4. Stress and sleep are overlooked partners. Daily mental stress and lack of sleep increase sympathetic overdrive. This raises BP, sugar, clotting, and multiplies heart attack risk.
5. Not just cholesterol, look at multifactorial risk. Diabetes, triglycerides, Lp(a), obesity, inactivity all together determine risk. Focusing on only one factor leaves the picture incomplete.
Is your report "complete" or "incomplete"?
