Today's Task: Legs-Up-the-Wall (Viparita Karani)
Had a hectic day? Today, finally keep 5-10 minutes for yourself.
This simple posture is effective in bringing the body into "relax mode".
How to do it? * Lie near a wall. * Place both legs straight up against the wall. * Keep your body relaxed, breathe calmly.
Do it for 5–10 minutes today. (You can gradually increase to 15 minutes).
What are the benefits? * Reduces leg swelling, fatigue. * Improves blood circulation. * Reduces strain on the heart, provides relaxation. * Reduces Anxiety, mental fatigue. * Lower back relaxes.
Why is it beneficial? 1. Reduces venous pooling, legs feel lighter. 2. Calm breathing puts the body into "rest mode" (parasympathetic).
Who should be careful / avoid? * Severe back pain / slip disc * Uncontrolled BP / glaucoma * Recent surgery (Consult a doctor if in doubt).
Try it tonight before sleeping. And after doing it, definitely write in the comments how you felt.
It's simple… But if done regularly, you'll notice a difference.
Legs up the wall = simple recovery posture. Improves circulation & activates relaxation response. Try tonight and notice the difference.
