Which Diabetic Patients Are Not Suitable for Reversal?
Which diabetic patients are not suitable for reversal?
Nowadays, many patients ask me one question after seeing advertisements about 'Diabetes Reversal' - Doctor, will I also be able to reverse it? The answer is very clear: yes... but not everyone. And trying reversal without knowing this can be dangerous.
Who are not suitable for Diabetes Reversal?
1) Diabetics with diabetes for more than 8–10 years Beta-cell capacity is reduced. The chance of reversal is very limited. Control is the most important.
2) Patients with low C-peptide or those on insulin for years The pancreas has reduced functional capacity. Research shows low C-peptide means low reversal probability.
3) Type 1 Diabetes / LADA Autoimmune destruction occurs. Reversal is scientifically not possible. The best goal is stable sugars.
4) Patients with complications (neuropathy / kidney / retina issues) Aggressive diets are unsafe; sugar swings may increase.
5) Patients with frequent hypoglycemia Reversal diets carry high risk. Safety first.
6) Patients with severe fatty liver and high triglycerides First, the liver needs to improve. A gradual approach is safer.
7) Patients using chronic steroids or medically complex cases Hormonal fluctuations are not reversal-friendly.
8) Lean diabetics (BMI < 22–23) Type 2 diabetics with low weight are poor reversal candidates. Focus should be on stability.
9) Patients planning pregnancy or who are pregnant Reversal plans are medically contraindicated.
10) Patients with highly irregular lifestyle, stress, or sleep disturbances Reversal programs require consistency. The first step is routine correction.
Remember, reversal is not magic, it is science. Effective in suitable patients but not in all.
Yes, we have patients enrolled in the Diabetes Reversal plan, but only for genuine, medically suitable patients. For others, we focus on safe sugar control.
