Why Are Treatments Still Limited to Clinics in the Digital Age?
In the digital age, everything is possible from home—phone recharges, banking, shopping, train tickets—all online. But why do we still have to face queues, traffic, and parking issues just to consult a doctor?
To save time and energy, tele-consultation is now the answer for modern healthcare.
Here are 10 common situations easily handled through tele-consultation:
1. Fever, cold, cough 2. Indigestion, gases, acidity 3. Slightly elevated BP / Sugar 4. Jaundice, vomiting, weakness 5. Body aches, fatigue, weakness 6. Old allergies or skin problems 7. Guidance regarding ongoing medicines 8. Advice after reviewing reports 9. Consultation while traveling 10. Changes in diet, routine, or supplements
Benefits of digital prescriptions: • Valid prescriptions received at home • Useful for online pharmacy orders • Can be stored as health records • Can be shared with future doctors (Digital signatures make these prescriptions valid.)
Advantages of tele-consultation: • Saves time and travel • No traffic or parking hassles • If you have BP/Sugar readings at home, diagnosis is possible • Access to specialists outside your area • Very convenient for follow-ups
If your doctor offers tele-consultation, it is an excellent option. However, many doctors face technical limitations, time constraints, or lack of facilities, causing patients to miss out on proper advice.
I personally encourage my patients to use tele-consultation for minor illnesses so they can get advice from home.
Currently, patients from Pune, Nagpur, Amravati, Noida, Delhi, and even remote places like Agartala regularly consult this way, with prior appointments and for non-emergency reasons.
If your doctor does not offer this service, definitely reach out and ensure you are in safe hands.
Tele-consultation is a facility, not just an option. The future of healthcare is digital—start today!
