Cholesterol Normal but Triglycerides (TG) Elevated? Here's What to Do
Just For Hearts1 min read
Is your cholesterol normal but your triglycerides (TG) levels are high?
What should you do?
1. Reduce carbohydrate intake, especially sugar, refined flour, and soft drinks. - Excess energy from these converts into triglycerides in the body.
2. Have an early and light dinner (avoid eating until full). - Digestion slows down at night, which can increase triglycerides.
3. Avoid eating every 2 hours; try intermittent fasting. - Fasting promotes triglyceride breakdown.
Why is this important?
An increase in triglycerides means internal inflammation and the beginning of fatty liver. Timely measures are essential.
Make one change a week, starting with reducing sugar.
