How to Find Time for Yourself During Back-to-Back Meetings?
Working from home has become normal now. However, finding time for yourself during back-to-back meetings on Zoom, Google Meet, or Teams has become rare.
This is not only true for office work but also for social media scrolling, where one reel ends and another starts immediately!
Result? The day ends with zero self-care!
So how to avoid this?
Here is a checklist to try before your next meeting starts:
1. Hydration break: Take 2 minutes to drink water. 2. Move your body: Stand up from your chair and walk 20 steps. 3. Eye relaxation: Look at greenery outside or distant walls for 20 seconds. 4. Deep breathing: Inhale for 4 seconds, hold for 4 seconds, exhale for 4 seconds (4-4-4 rule). 5. Quick snack: Keep nuts, fruits, or healthy munchies ready. 6. Mind reset: Silence your mobile and sit quietly for 1 minute. 7. Stretch: Do light stretches for your neck, shoulders, and back.
Treat the gaps between meetings as “Me Time” slots. This short break improves both productivity and mood.
