Is Breakfast Really Necessary in the Morning?
Is breakfast really necessary in the morning?
Some say it is essential, others say it is not – so what is the truth?
1. Some people say ‘breakfast is a scam’ – why? The idea that breakfast is the "most important meal" was mainly a marketing strategy by cereal companies. Many accepted this blindly without understanding the real need.
2. Who needs breakfast? - Early risers - Diabetic patients - Students - People doing physical work These groups definitely need a balanced breakfast in the morning.
3. Who can skip breakfast? - Those practicing intermittent fasting - People with very little physical activity But they should consider hydration, nutrition, and energy before skipping.
4. The biggest mistake: "Just eating something means breakfast!" Having only tea with biscuits, snacks, or packaged foods is not a healthy breakfast.
5. What is a proper breakfast? Protein + fiber + healthy fat – for example, moong dal, eggs, buttermilk, some fruit.
6. What happens if you skip breakfast? Some may experience dizziness, fatigue, irritability – which means their body needs breakfast.
7. Nutritionist's view: A proper breakfast supports metabolism and mood throughout the day.
8. Intermittent fasting can be beneficial if done properly – but it is not suitable for everyone.
9. Think as a person, not just a patient: What is your body telling you? Do you feel low energy? Is your stomach full? Decide based on that.
10. My personal opinion: Not everyone needs breakfast. Make decisions based on your body, routine, and health needs. Sometimes breakfast is needed, sometimes it is not – both are okay if the reason is understood.
"The answer to whether you need breakfast is within your body – listen to it. Wisdom is more important than habit!"
