The Obesity Code By Dr. Jason Fung

"Eat Less, Move More" is not the complete answer because...

- Eating less does not necessarily mean weight loss. - Walking daily does not guarantee belly fat reduction. - Calories are not everything; hormones, timing, sugar, and fasting all matter!

As a doctor, here is what I believe:

1. Insulin is the key regulator. Weight loss means fat loss, and that happens only when insulin is reduced. Simply cutting calories is not enough.

2. Intermittent Fasting (IF) is a powerful tool. When given time, the body burns fat on its own. Fasting is not just abstaining from food; it is a science.

3. Sugar and processed foods are the root causes of obesity. Sugar increases insulin and promotes fat storage. The keyword is not 'Low Fat' but 'Low Insulin.'

4. The habit of "eat breakfast as soon as you wake up" does not apply to everyone. Breakfast skipping is scientifically safe in IF. Eat when hungry; eating on time is not mandatory.

5. Hormonal Obesity is a medical condition. Stop the blame game: lack of willpower or not exercising is not the only reason. Here, insulin, cortisol, and the brain's reward system are involved.

6. Patient counseling needs to change. Instead of saying "eat less," say "stop sugar, improve timing." Not everyone needs a diet chart; habits need to change.

This is not a fad diet book, but a course for your health.

Read once. Digest twice. And implement thrice.
