Why Does Blood Sugar Fluctuate Despite Strict Medication and Diet?
A meeting with an elderly couple revealed an important insight. The lady was extremely disciplined, had Diabetes in her family, and followed her diet strictly. No sweets, no unnecessary eating. Yet, her face showed constant stress.
Digging deeper, it was found that they had four children, all highly educated and successful. But for the parents, every three months meant a new house, new neighbors, new kitchen...
"Doctor, we get used to the new place, but by then we move to another house."
If one child was abroad, the three-month stay was spent in an old age home.
This constant mental instability and uncertainty—what medicine can fix this?
The American Diabetes Association clearly states: Unstable routines and chronic stress directly worsen blood sugar control. Cortisol increases, insulin resistance worsens.
"Emotional and social support is a key part of diabetes care."
Diabetes is not just a lifestyle disease; it is an emotional journey.
Blood sugar depends not only on food but also on how familiar and stable one’s life is.
Therefore, I say today:
Where there is rotation, there is no stability. Where there is no support, medicines fall short. Where the mind is not at ease, reports get missed.
Given medicine? Did you give time? Did you listen to the mind? These are very important.
