Worrying About Evening Right After Waking Up Can Harm Your Mental Health
Waking up and immediately worrying about the evening can negatively affect your mental health.
1. If right after waking up, your mind starts thinking "What about the afternoon?" or "Will I have time in the evening?", it means your day is starting with stress.
2. Cortisol, a natural hormone, is higher in the morning, but if anxiety increases, this hormone can cause mental fatigue and irritability.
3. This leads to difficulty concentrating, lack of interest in work, tiredness, and irritability throughout the day.
4. For example, if you are having tea and someone asks, "Will you be late in the evening?", your mind immediately gets tense, thinking about traffic and your to-do list.
5. This starts to tire the prefrontal cortex, the part of the brain responsible for decision-making and thinking.
6. In the morning, you should focus on the present 2 hours, but instead, you carry the burden of the next 12 hours.
7. Changing this habit improves energy levels, mood, focus, and productivity.
8. What’s the solution? Ask yourself only one question in the morning: "What can I do right now to make today a good day?"
9. Instead of overthinking, stay in the present moment. What will happen tomorrow will happen tomorrow.
10. Just as the first hour of the morning passes, so does the whole day. Make it calm, clear, and satisfying!
"To keep the mind calm, no forecast is needed... just a little focus is enough."
If someone you know is overthinking today, share this post with them.
